Dancing with the Stars Season 5 saw the first two-time winner of the competition: professional dancer Julianne Hough. After winning in convincing fashion with Apolo Anton Ohno in the Spring of 2007, Hough returned with champion race car driver, Helio Castroneves, to take down another list of dancing competitors.
Drew Lachey, winner of Season 2 of Dancing with the Stars, filled in for three weeks as co-host while Samantha Harris took maternity leave. This was a particular delight for all the female fans of Drew Lachey, who remains an all-time favorite with many DWTS fans.

Here's a list of the celebrities and their professional dance partners from Season 5 of Dancing with the Stars.
This was one of my favorite lists of DWTS contestants. You had two of the best "Love 'em or Hate 'em" members of the sports fraternity in Mark Cuban and Floyd Mayweather Jr. Mark Cuban is the loud-mouthed owner of the Dallas Mavericks, whose criticisms of NBA referees had drawn huge fines from commissioner David Stern. Floyd Mayweather's speed and precision have made him an undefeated boxer, though his defensive style, egotism, and lack of big name opponents give him more critics than any other unbeaten champion would have. Alas, neither Cuban or Mayweather were much of a factor--blame the refs and don't let the judges make a decision.
Here's a list of the celebrities who competed during Dancing with the Stars Season 5:
Jennie Garth of 90210 fame and Marie Osmond, whose brother would go on to win Season 9, were crowd favorites destined to fall by the wayside as an Indy driver and a Spice Girl battled it out. If "Mel B" doesn't ring a bell, it's because she's more famous as Scary Spice of the Spice Girls. But even the Spice Girls were no match for Julianne Hough and her partner.
